Texas Father’s Final Voicemails to His Kids Before Flood Took His Life

When severe flooding struck Kerrville, Texas, Jeff Ramsey and his wife, Tanya, found themselves trapped in their RV.

Realizing the danger, Jeff left heart-wrenching voicemails for their children, Jake and Rachel, expressing his love and fear, believing they might not survive. Tragically, both Jeff and Tanya lost their lives that night.

The couple had little warning—an evacuation alert from the RV park came just as rising floodwaters surrounded them. Despite the chaos, Jeff made calls to help others escape, including Tanya’s brother and mother. His final moments were marked by bravery and selflessness. Tanya, who had been battling breast cancer, had shared her journey publicly, describing chemotherapy as humbling and transformative.

Jeff, a gym employee known for his compassion, often spoke about everyday miracles and lived to help others.

To their children, Jeff and Tanya were more than parents—they were examples of love, strength, and resilience.

Jake remembered Tanya embracing them as her own, and Jeff’s constant acts of kindness. Though their loss is immense,

their legacy endures in the lives they touched and the love they shared with everyone around them
