My affluent boyfriend purposely rented an apartment that appeared modest, all to test my loyalty

I met Jack a year ago when I spilled coffee on his paperwork at a coffee shop. He took it well, and we instantly hit it off, sharing laughs and simple, real conversations. Jack lived in a tiny, shabby apartment, and despite his questionable living conditions, I loved him for who he was.

On our first anniversary, I expected something sweet but was shocked to find Jack leaning against an expensive car, revealing he was the heir to a multi-million-dollar business. He had been testing me by pretending to be broke, to see if I loved him for who he truly was.

In a twist, I revealed I, too, had been testing him. I drove him to my childhood home—an enormous estate—to show him that I was secretly wealthy. We had both been hiding our true lives, testing each other’s loyalty and intentions.

After some laughs and a little bit of shock, we got married six months later. Despite our families’ amusement at our tests, we knew we were perfect for each other. We were two ridiculous people who found love in the most unexpected way, proving that sometimes love isn’t about wealth, but about finding someone who understands you completely.
