When Liz’s husband, Jack, talks in his sleep, he reveals a secret that changes everything. One night, Jack mutters, “Don’t go into the basement,” followed by, “They’ll find out about the suitcase.” Liz decides to investigate.

The next morning, Liz casually mentions Jack’s sleep-talking. His nervous reaction fuels her curiosity. She asks him about the basement, but he claims the key is lost. Suspecting more, Liz enlists their son Michael’s help. They break the lock and find a suitcase.

Inside, they discover documents revealing Jack inherited an estate and money, hidden for years. They also find photos of Jack with another woman and two children, indicating a second family. Confronted, Jack admits to a double life, confessing he fathered two children with another woman while married to Liz.

Shocked and betrayed, Liz chooses her and Michael’s wellbeing, filing for divorce. Jack doesn’t contest, and Michael cuts ties with his father. Liz and Michael start anew, leaving Jack’s secrets behind.
