While I was pregnant, my husband left me for his boss—and then she proposed giving me a house in return for one of my babies

Seven months pregnant with twins, I received a photo from my husband’s boss, Veronica, showing him in her bed. Hours later, Eric told me he was leaving me for her, and she offered me a house in exchange for one of my babies. But I had a plan.

I was folding baby clothes when Veronica’s message arrived. It wasn’t an accident report — it was a picture of Eric shirtless in her bed with a smug caption: “He’s mine.” My heart sank, and I tried calling Eric, but he didn’t answer.

That evening, Eric came home with Veronica, and he told me he was leaving me. To make matters worse, Veronica demanded I move out and offered to “help” by taking one of my babies. She wanted to raise one as her own while I lived in a house she’d provide.

Desperate but calculating, I agreed, but with conditions. I insisted on choosing which baby she would take and demanded she buy me a house, not rent it. She agreed, thinking she had won.

Months passed as I played along, attending doctor’s appointments and pretending to agonize over which baby to give up. When I went into labor, I kept Veronica and Eric out of the delivery room and carefully planned my next move.

After the babies were born, I called Veronica. When she arrived, eager to take one of my daughters, I told her neither baby was for her. She threatened to kick me out, but I revealed the house was in my name, not hers. I’d also posted the entire situation on social media, tagging her company and exposing her actions.

Eric lost his job, and Veronica faced public disgrace. As for me, I rocked my daughters to sleep each night in my new home, knowing I hadn’t just gotten revenge—I had won.
