Waiter Quietly Hands Guy Note to Stop Him from Proposing to His Girlfriend – Story of the Day

Roy, a successful software developer, was ready to propose to his girlfriend Karen at their favorite restaurant. As they dined, a new waiter slipped a note into Roy’s pocket, saying, “Don’t drink the wine! The police are on their way!”

Confused, Roy saw the police arrive and arrest Karen. The waiter urged him to go home, where he found a man, Karen’s secret husband, fleeing. The couple had been robbing people, using Karen to drug their targets.

The waiter recognized Karen from a previous incident where she had committed a similar crime. Roy thanked the waiter for his help and rewarded him. Karen and her husband were jailed, showing no remorse for their actions.

Lessons:

  1. Evil will not go unpunished: Karen and her husband were caught and jailed.
  2. Act when you can: The waiter’s intervention saved Roy and brought the criminals to justice.
