The Woman in My Child’s Drawings Looked Nothing like Me – When I Found Out Why, I Called My Lawyer

Katie’s life takes a shocking turn when her daughter Alice’s innocent drawings begin to reveal a hidden family secret. Alice’s favorite sketch is of a mysterious blonde woman, starkly different from Katie’s own appearance. When Katie asks Alice about this woman, Alice reveals chillingly that this “new mommy” lives at her grandma Darla’s house and gives her cookies for drawing her.

Katie’s confusion and concern escalate when she discovers that this woman is Jeff’s ex-girlfriend, hired by Darla as Alice’s nanny. It becomes evident that Darla’s eccentricities have led her to manipulate Alice, attempting to rewrite family dynamics. In response, Katie decides to take drastic action to protect her family. She sends Darla a picture drawn by Alice of an “old lady” and informs her that Alice is getting a new grandma. The silence that follows Darla’s response suggests that Katie’s bold move has achieved its intended effect.
