My Wife’s Boss Kept Taking Credit for Her Work — We Came Up with a Plan to Teach Her a Lesson

Matt noticed his wife, Lily, becoming increasingly stressed and withdrawn due to her boss, Ms. Robinson, taking credit for her work. Lily’s mood and health deteriorated, leading to sleepless nights and anxiety.

Lily confided, “I feel invisible. Is this how it’s always going to be?” Her frustration and the impact on her health were evident, and Matt decided to intervene. He suggested, “What if we give her a taste of her own medicine?” They created a flawed marketing plan, hoping Ms. Robinson would take credit for it and fail.

The plan worked; Ms. Robinson’s presentation was exposed as faulty. Lily was asked to explain the issues, and she confidently did so. Afterward, Ms. Robinson apologized, acknowledging her mistakes and promising to credit Lily’s work in the future.

Lily’s mood and health improved significantly, and their evenings returned to joyful times. “I feel like I can actually sleep tonight,” Lily said, relieved and rejuvenated.
