My sister kicked me out of the house after our father di:ed — But she didn’t know that he had planned

After the death of her father, Dawn’s world collapses—she loses her home, her family, and the last thread of connection to her sister Charlotte, who coldly throws her out. Despite being abandoned with only her personal belongings and her father’s old watch, Dawn clings to the memory of the only parent who truly loved her. Charlotte, always distant and self-centered, sees Dawn as nothing more than an annoyance, further deepening Dawn’s grief.

Growing up, Charlotte was absent, chasing a “larger life,” while Dawn remained close to their father, helping him around the house and sharing meaningful moments. Their mother had left early on, leaving Dawn to be raised solely by their dad. This only intensified the bond between father and daughter, while Charlotte grew more resentful.

At the reading of the will, Charlotte inherits the house while Dawn is left with the old, worn watch. Mocked by her sister, Dawn feels betrayed—until the family lawyer reveals that the watch holds a deeper secret. Her father had anticipated Charlotte’s selfishness and had left Dawn a letter, revealing a hidden inheritance: a $2 million sum split equally, but with conditions.

Charlotte could only access her share if she agreed to share the house. But having thrown Dawn out, Charlotte loses everything—while Dawn, using the code engraved on the watch, claims her rightful portion. Charlotte, burdened by debts, is left with nothing.

Eventually, Dawn moves into a small apartment near school. Though her father is gone, she carries his love—and a future built on his faith in her.
