Ivy, a married woman and mother, struggles with fears of infidelity due to her parents’ fractured marriage. Her father’s affair when she was in eighth grade devastated her mother, leading Ivy to doubt the stability of her own relationships. “I don’t think I’m going to get married, Mom,” Ivy confessed once, fearing that she could never trust a husband.
Despite these reservations, Ivy marries Jordan, a supportive partner. However, her anxieties resurface when her daughter Mia reveals that Jordan removes his wedding ring every morning and hides it behind the wardrobe. Mia says, “Dad always takes his ring off in the mornings, and he puts it behind the wardrobe.”
Ivy’s suspicions lead her to follow Jordan to an unfamiliar house, where she sees him with a woman named Linda. Believing he is cheating, Ivy confronts Jordan, who explains that Linda is an interior designer working on their new home, which he inherited. He hid the ring to avoid damaging it while renovating. “This is Linda,” Jordan says. “She’s the interior designer.”
Relieved and remorseful for doubting him, Ivy realizes her fears were unfounded. The couple works together on the new house, strengthening their bond and healing from past traumas. “No more secrets, Ivy,” Jordan promises, affirming their commitment to each other.
