My Daughter’s Landlord Set Her up So He Could Evict Her and Raise the Rent – We Taught Him a Smart Lesson

When Jason’s phone rings in the middle of the night, he finds his daughter crying. Her landlord is forcing her out of her place. Jason decides to give the landlord a lesson.

I received the call late at night; it was so unexpected that I answered without thinking.

But it was Lily, my daughter, crying.

“Dad,” she sobbed.

“What’s wrong?” I asked, immediately sitting up. “Tell me, Lily, what’s happening?”

“My landlord found out I got a raise at work. He’s raising my rent and saying I have to leave if I can’t pay.”

“Okay,” I said, trying to understand.

“But sweetheart, why are you crying?”

“He secretly threw prohibited chemicals into my yard and accused me of violating the lease,” she said.

“What? That’s illegal!”

“And he gave me two days to move out,” she continued.

“Don’t worry, honey,” I said, a plan forming. “We’ll sort this out together.”
