My Daughter Won’t Talk to Me Because I Refuse to Buy Her a $50 Water Cup…

My daughter won’t talk to me because I refuse to buy her a $50 water cup. This is ridiculous! The girls at her school are obsessed with Stanley Cups, those branded water mugs they carry around. Is it really that big of a deal?

She said she’s being bullied because she doesn’t have one. I don’t want my kid to feel bad at school, but what kind of mom would I be if I bought her a $50 branded cup just to please some mean teenage girls?

I sat her down and explained that value doesn’t come from expensive items. I suggested we customize a more affordable cup together, making it unique and special. Reluctantly, she agreed. We spent the weekend decorating a plain water bottle with stickers and paint, making it truly hers.

Monday morning, she walked into school nervously. By the end of the day, she came home beaming. “Mom, everyone loved my cup!” she exclaimed. Sometimes, it’s about the personal touch.
