Mother Orders Little Daughter to Wait near Church, Then Disappears without a Trace

Carly was abandoned outside a church at five years old by her mother, who promised to return but never did. Taken to an orphanage, Carly clung to the belief that her mother would come back. The only comfort came from Peter, a frail boy who made her paper planes with messages of hope. As Carly grew, she searched desperately for her mother, even rejecting Peter’s support, but after years of searching, she found her mother in a rundown trailer. To her shock, her mother had abandoned her on purpose, moving on with a new man.

Devastated, Carly returned to the orphanage, only to learn that Peter had died. Grieving the loss of the one person who truly loved her, Carly found a paper plane in the garden, a final reminder of Peter’s love. The story shows that love can come from unexpected places, and the family we need isn’t always the one we’re born into.
