If This Is Not A Miracle, I Don’t Know What Is

Tornado Lifts Baby From Home—He Survives in a “Tree Cradle”. On December 9, a tornado tore through a Tennessee mobile home, ripping off the roof and hurling 4-month-old Lord into the storm while still in his bassinet. Parents Sydney Moore and Aramis Youngblood were inside with their two young sons. Aramis tried to catch the bassinet as it was lifted. Sydney shielded their one-year-old, Princeton, from debris. After the storm, Sydney walked over a mile for help.

Then, in the pouring rain, Aramis emerged from the woods carrying Lord—alive. “He landed gently in a little tree cradle,” Sydney said. Lord had only a concussion and a small ear injury. The family lost everything. A GoFundMe campaign launched by Sydney’s sister raised over $105,000 to help them rebuild. “It’s a miracle,” Sydney said. “By the grace of God, he’s okay.”

In the weeks that followed, the family was overwhelmed by messages of love from strangers across the country. Neighbors they had never met dropped off clothes, diapers, and warm meals. “We’ve seen the worst of nature,” Aramis said, “but also the best of humanity.” They say they’re still healing—but they’re stronger than ever.
