Desperate for work after losing her job, Monica takes a high-paying cleaning gig at a mansion with strange instructions: no owners, just a key under the doormat. When she arrives, the house is trashed, but she pushes through to earn the $800 promised.
As she cleans, Monica realizes the mess is deliberate, and then the door opens. Her mother-in-law, Brenda, steps in with a smug smile, revealing the job was a setup to humiliate her. Brenda orchestrated this “lesson in humility,” thinking Monica’s fall from grace would satisfy her.
