I Found My Wife Locked in the Cellar When I Returned Home from a Business Trip

Michael arrived home early from a business trip, expecting a joyful reunion, but instead found an empty house. He was alarmed to hear faint cries from the cellar and discovered his wife, Emma, locked inside. Emma revealed that Michael’s mother had visited, and during a game of hide-and-seek, Emma was locked in the cellar for hours.

To their shock, their daughter Sophie later confessed. “I locked you in the cellar because I wanted to go to Grandma’s,” Sophie tearfully admitted, thinking that if Emma wasn’t there, they could leave.

Though relieved his mother wasn’t involved, Michael realized the need for clear boundaries. Emma agreed, adding, “I don’t want the kids caught in the middle of this.”

With a cautious sense of optimism, the family sat down to address the issues at hand, committed to moving forward together.
