Hope She Was Worth It” The Day a Mysterious Message Shattered My World

At 81, I deeply cherish my bond with Bella, my beloved dog. Regular grooming has always been part of our routine, and it brings us both happiness. However, yesterday, my 18-year-old granddaughter, Emma, visited and saw Bella after her grooming session. Emma seemed concerned and said, “Grandma, why do you groom Bella? It seems unnatural and could be harmful.”

Her words were hurtful and have left me conflicted. Emma believes that grooming might stress Bella and thinks it’s better to let her fur grow naturally. This criticism has made me question whether I should continue with our grooming routine, which Bella clearly enjoys and benefits from, or alter it to avoid further conflict with Emma.

Has anyone else dealt with family members questioning your pet care choices? I would appreciate any advice on how to handle this situation, ensuring Bella’s well-being while also addressing family concerns.
