Dr. Spellman adopted his sister’s triplets after she d*ed during childbirth. But five years later, his world flipped…

“Keep breathing, it’s going to be okay,” Thomas whispered as his sister Leah was wheeled into the OR. She was in labor with triplets, but complications arose after the first delivery. Moments later, Thomas was pulled out by doctors—Leah hadn’t made it. The babies were safe, but his sister was gone.

In the waiting room, Thomas’s grief turned to fury when Leah’s ex, Joe, suddenly appeared demanding his “kids.” This was the same man who abandoned Leah when she needed him most. Thomas fought to adopt the boys, proving in court that Joe was unfit, while showing Leah’s messages about Joe’s alcoholism. The judge ruled in Thomas’s favor, giving him custody of Jayden, Noah, and Andy.

But the victory came at a cost. His wife, Susannah, left him, admitting she wasn’t willing to raise three children. Alone, Thomas nearly broke under the weight of grief and responsibility. Yet every time he looked at the boys, he remembered his promise to Leah. He pushed through sleepless nights, school pickups, and scraped knees—determined to give them the life their mother dreamed of.

Five years later, Thomas thought the storm had passed—until he saw Joe watching from across the street. Claiming to be sober with a steady job, Joe demanded to be part of the boys’ lives. Thomas stood firm. “You didn’t rock them to sleep, or sit through doctor visits. I did. They’re happy, they’re safe—and I won’t let you break that.” Joe threatened court, but Thomas knew he had years of proof showing who the real parent was.

When official custody papers arrived a month later, Thomas felt fear—but also resolve. Joe might have biology, but Thomas had something stronger: five years of love, sacrifice, and memories. The boys called him “Dad.” And he was prepared to fight for that title forever.
