Colleague Discovers Teacher Had Been Living in Her Car for Months – Story of the Day

“I can’t believe this, Mark!” Alina yelled, catching her boyfriend in bed with another woman. “IN OUR OWN HOUSE?!”

“Alina, calm down. It’s just… it’s…” Mark stuttered.

“It’s… WHAT?! There’s no justifying this! Get out!” Alina continued screaming.

“You know what? I’ve been tired of you for months, and you can’t kick me out. My name is on the lease! YOU have to get out!” Mark yelled back. Alina realized in horror that he was right.

She moved in with him after dating for a year and wasn’t on the lease. OMG! I have nowhere to go, she thought. But she wasn’t going to let Mark see her distress.

“Fine! I’m leaving!” she exclaimed. She looked at the woman in her bed. “Good luck with him because if he can cheat on me, he’ll do it to you too.”

Alina packed her things and called her friend, Kiara, for help. Kiara couldn’t offer a place to stay but offered to store her belongings.

Alina ended up living in her car in the school parking lot. She used the gym facilities and got by without anyone noticing. One morning, Coach Franco Patton found her and, after a dinner date, offered to help her financially. She eventually accepted his offer, moved into a new place, and paid him back.

Franco’s kindness won her heart, and they eventually got married.
