Bride Can’t Get Her Wedding Dress Because of Skin Color Prejudice — Story of the Day

As Allie plans her dream wedding, her vision board guides her every step. Yet, while searching for her wedding dress, she faces prejudice due to her skin color.

Flipping through bridal magazines, Allie balances her craving for pizza with her clean eating regimen. Her fiancé, Scott, reassures her she’s perfect as she is, though she jokes about wanting that “princess glow.”

Reflecting on childhood memories of her mother braiding her hair, Allie struggles to find the perfect dress. Scott suggests a boutique on Boulevard, but Allie’s visit is marred by Sandra’s discriminatory behavior, preventing her from trying on dresses.

Determined, Allie confronts the store’s policies and ultimately Scott steps in, discovering his own employees’ racism. He apologizes to Allie, fires the prejudiced staff, and reassures her of his support.

Relieved, Allie decides to continue her search for the perfect dress, knowing Scott has her back every step of the way.
