After My Sisters Wedding Was Canceled, She Demanded the $10K Gift I Promised, I Had to Set Her Straight

Davina promised her sister Clara $10,000 for her wedding, but after Clara’s betrayal—cheating on Jack, her fiancé of five years—Davina knew tough love was needed. Jack called off the wedding, and Clara showed no remorse, instead complaining about the embarrassment. Then, Clara demanded the $10,000 for herself.

Davina was stunned but stood firm, telling Clara the money was for the wedding that no longer existed. When Clara insisted, Davina lied, saying she gave the money to Jack to help him start a business after everything Clara put him through. Clara stormed out, and despite her tantrums, Davina refused to back down.

Later, Davina did invest in Jack’s business, and it succeeded. Clara, however, stopped speaking to her, spinning the story to make herself the victim. Davina had no regrets. She knew the right thing wasn’t always about keeping the peace but teaching a lesson.
