A woman battling Alzheimer’s left herself a note that read, “Find Bonny.” Despite her failing memory, she managed to uncover the truth

Margaret’s world was slipping, her memories fading. One thing remained: a note with the words “Find Bonny.” She didn’t know who Bonny was, but she knew she had to find her.

As Margaret’s daughter Rachel looked on with concern, Margaret felt a deep urge to search for Bonny. Despite her confusion and slipping memory, she clung to the certainty that Bonny was important.

Rachel tried to help, but every clue seemed to slip further away. Then, Margaret was drawn outside, where something about the old oak tree felt familiar. She began digging, and Rachel joined her. Eventually, they uncovered a small wooden box with a collar inside, bearing the name “Bonny.”

It was her dog, her best friend from years ago.

Margaret, overcome with emotion, realized she had forgotten Bonny. But as she held the collar, the memories rushed back. Rachel comforted her mother, and together they sat in silence, sharing a cup of tea as Margaret finally allowed herself to remember the love she once had for her loyal companion.

Memories may fade, but love endures.
