Seventeen-year-old Kendall finds herself pregnant and homeless after her religious adoptive parents kick her out for “sinning.” With only $56 and no place to go, she meets a kind woman, Mila, who offers her a job at a flower stand and a small apartment.

As Kendall adjusts to her new life, strange things happen with her baby, Michael. One night, she discovers that a woman named Martha, who turns out to be her biological mother, has been secretly helping her. Martha had been forced to give Kendall up at a young age but never stopped caring for her. With her mother and Mila’s support, Kendall finally feels loved and supported, realizing that even in dark times, there are guardian angels watching over her.
