A 6-Year-Old Boy in a Shelter Noticed a Poor Teenage Girl Watching Him Through the Fence Every Day

Six-year-old Mike, unaware that his parents had died in a car accident, waited every day at the shelter for them to come back. He clung to the hope that they’d return, asking the shelter worker, Brenda, for years if they would.

One day, Mike noticed a teenage girl, Angela, watching him from outside the fence. Over time, she appeared regularly, but Mike never spoke to her. Eventually, Mike was placed with a foster family, the Smiths, but he still felt incomplete.

At ten, Mike returned to the shelter, where Angela revealed she was his sister. After their father’s death, Angela had been watching over him from afar, saving up to care for him. She now wanted to bring him home.

Angela gained custody of Mike, and they settled into a modest apartment. For the first time in years, Mike felt complete. Angela promised she’d always be there for him, and Mike knew he was finally home.
