Andrew, a 50-year-old workaholic businessman, receives devastating news: he has cancer. Reluctantly checking into the hospital, he encounters a young boy, Tommy, who changes his perspective. Initially annoyed by Tommy’s energy, Andrew starts to appreciate the small moments of joy Tommy brings him—simple games, laughter, and acts of kindness.
Despite his own suffering from cancer treatment, Andrew is moved by Tommy’s optimism and constant smile, even as he quietly battles his own illness. Over time, Andrew helps Tommy’s family by secretly sending money to ease their struggles.
As Andrew’s health improves, he learns that Tommy’s condition worsens, and one day, he finds out Tommy has passed away. Tommy had been hiding how sick he was, trying to stay strong for Andrew.
Andrew, devastated by the loss, starts a foundation in Tommy’s name to help sick children. He also makes peace with his ex-wife, offering her a painting she had long demanded. In the end, Andrew realizes that Tommy, the boy who seemed so small in the face of illness, had taught him the true value of life, love, and kindness.
