While traveling with his foster family, a teenage boy runs away to search for his biological family after seeing an old sign

Sixteen-year-old Eric sneaks away from his foster family during a camping trip, hoping to find his real mother. After a chance encounter at a diner, Eric meets Eliza, his biological mother, but the reunion is far from what he expected. Eliza brushes him off, and when they leave without paying, Eric is caught by the police.

Back at the station, Eric’s foster parents, the Johnsons, arrive, worried and relieved. Eric admits he felt unwanted since the Johnsons had their own child, but they reassure him that he is just as much their son as Mila is. They reveal that they’ve already prepared adoption papers for him, offering him the family he’s always craved. Overcome with emotion, Eric realizes that he’s finally found his true home.
