A man ridicules and leaves his devoted wife for someone else, only to have life ultimately bring him down

David fat-shames his wife, Megan, and dumps her for his secretary. On their anniversary, he gives her divorce papers instead of the Paris tickets she hoped for. Heartbroken, Megan tries to salvage their marriage, but David is cruel and leaves her for Jessica, his secretary.

Megan, devastated, is encouraged by her friend Veronica to move on. Veronica sets her up on a dating app, and Megan meets Robert. Despite an awkward start, Robert’s kindness and charm lift Megan’s spirits.

When David shows up at her door, mocking her makeover and dismissing her attempts at moving on, Megan refuses to let him break her. Later, at a café, Robert surprises her with flowers and a heartfelt apology, and they begin a new chapter together.

Months later, David tries to apologize, but Megan, now engaged to Robert, confidently moves forward with her new life, leaving her past behind.
