Randy Quaid claims Gene Hackman was “murdered”

Randy Quaid has gone on record to state his belief that Gene Hackman and wife Betsy Arakawa were “murdered”.

The entertainment industry was left stunned last week following the news that the pair had been found dead at their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Initial reports suggested that no foul play was suspected, but information since obtained in a search warrant revealed that the case has been deemed suspicious enough for an investigation.

In recent days all manner of conspiracy theories have circulated online, perhaps fueled by the strange circumstances surrounding the deaths. The Associated Press last week stated that Hackman’s body was found in a mudroom while his wife was discovered in a bathroom next to a space heater.

An update offered in a Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office search warrant also detailed how there was an open prescription bottle and pills scattered on the counter top in the bathroom.

The 74-year-old wrote on X: “Gene Hackman and his wife are murder victims, some scum bags did it and staged it. Stop talking about the films he is in, this is how they get away with murdering famous people!

“Fake News starts generating film clips. How is it possible I know at least 6 people who have died like Carradine, Hackman, Ledger?

Quaid, no stranger to controversial comments, went on to add:

“I should become a special FBI agent to these investigations of Hollywood Murders!

“I already have some good leads on who killed Gene Hackman,’ he wrote, but did not share his theories.
