After a near-fatal childbirth, my husband is now insisting that we leave our home because of his mother’s influence

When Carol got pregnant, she dreamed it would bring her closer to her husband, Bill. But Bill’s overbearing mother, Jessica, took control, constantly interfering and belittling Carol. From choosing baby furniture to showing up uninvited, Jessica made Carol’s life miserable. When their daughter was born, Jessica tried to take over completely, even refusing to call her by her real name.

Jessica’s manipulation went too far when she presented a fake DNA test, accusing Carol of infidelity and demanding Bill throw them out. Bill believed his mother, and Carol was forced to leave with their newborn. After recovering, Carol got a real DNA test, proving Eliza was Bill’s daughter. She confronted Bill, but he’d already chosen his mother over them. Carol filed for divorce and sought full custody, leaving Bill behind for good.
