Boy gives up dream shoes to buy boots for poor classmate

David, a 12-year-old football player, dreamed of joining the national team and buying a new pair of spiked shoes. He worked hard, saving money by selling lemonade and helping neighbors so he wouldn’t burden his mom.

One day, David became friends with Guillermo, who admired his shoes but was embarrassed by his own worn-out pair. David, proud of his savings, finally had enough for his dream shoes. But when he noticed Guillermo’s shoes were in worse condition, he decided to buy a pair for his friend instead.

At the store, David told the owner, “I want these shoes in his size.” Guillermo was shocked, but David insisted, calling him a true friend. The owner, impressed by David’s kindness, gave them the shoes.

Later, David’s mom was proud of his selflessness. To his surprise, Mr. Manning arrived with shoes for David, his sister, and Guillermo, rewarding his good deed. David learned that kindness always goes a long way.
