Every month, after a meal at Cynthia’s, Stella would suffer from severe stomach issues. Despite telling Zack, he dismissed her concerns, saying, “Mom’s just old-fashioned.” Stella’s frustration grew, “I swear it’s something your mom’s putting in my food.”
Determined to prove her suspicions, Stella switched her plate with Zack’s during Cynthia’s birthday dinner. That night, Zack fell ill, confirming Stella’s fears. “I switched our plates last night. I wanted to see if it was just me or if something else was going on,” Stella revealed.
Zack was enraged, accusing her of poisoning him. Stella defended herself, “I needed to know if your mom was messing with my food.” Feeling betrayed, Zack asked her to leave.
Stella packed her family and left for her parents’ home, deciding to file for divorce. “I had done the right thing by protecting myself and my kids,” she felt.
