Man Takes DNA Test That Reveals He Isn’t His Son’s Dad, Learns His Wife Isn’t His Mom as Well — Story of the Day

A man’s life is turned upside down when he discovers his child’s DNA does not match his or his wife’s. How did they solve this mystery?

Mary Fulham was startled when her husband, Chris, slammed the door, furious. She had never seen him this angry. “What’s wrong?” she asked. Chris handed her a letter. “Read this!” he growled. It was a DNA test proving he wasn’t their son Edward’s father.

Chris, convinced Mary had cheated, demanded answers. Mary, in tears, insisted she had never been unfaithful. To prove her innocence, she took a DNA test. Shockingly, it revealed she wasn’t Edward’s mother either.

Confused, they returned to the hospital where Edward was born. The nurse, pressured by Chris, confessed to a mix-up with the newborns that was covered up.

They traced the other family and met Martha, who had their biological son. Both families decided to continue raising the children they had come to love, staying in close contact. Chris apologized to Mary, realizing the depth of their love transcended DNA.
