I Took My Fiancé to Visit My Parents — He Ran Out Screaming ‘I Can’t Believe It!’ in the Middle of the Night

I’ve been with my fiancé for six years, and we were supposed to get married next month. During a visit to my parents, he discovered their secret lifestyle, causing him to question our relationship.

We’ve known each other for nine years, and were excited about our upcoming wedding. Visiting my parents was meant to be a joyful prelude, but everything changed.

Staying in my old room for nostalgia, Adam and I settled in. My parents welcomed us warmly, and the evening went smoothly until Adam couldn’t sleep. Stepping out for fresh air, he discovered my mom kissing another man.

Horrified, Adam confronted me. I explained that my parents have an unconventional marriage, but it wasn’t easy for him to accept. This revelation triggered Adam’s own fears of infidelity, stemming from his parents’ divorce.

Adam left for a hotel, needing space to process. We agreed to move to my grandmother’s house to talk. Therapy became our next step to heal and understand each other.
