An out-of-towner drove his car into a ditch

An out-of-towner drove his car into a ditch in a remote area. Luckily, a local farmer arrived with his big, strong horse named Buddy. The farmer hitched Buddy up to the car and yelled, “Pull, Nellie, pull!” But Buddy didn’t move. The farmer then shouted, “Pull, Buster, pull!” Still, Buddy didn’t budge. The farmer called out again, “Pull, Coco, pull!” But nothing happened.

Finally, the farmer nonchalantly said, “Pull, Buddy, pull!” To the motorist’s surprise, Buddy easily dragged the car out of the ditch. The grateful motorist was curious and asked the farmer why he called his horse by the wrong name three times.

The farmer smiled and explained, “Oh, Buddy is blind, and if he thought he was the only one pulling, he wouldn’t even try!”
