Beloved superstar has died this morning in a tragic car accident

Khyree Jackson, a 24-year-old cornerback recently drafted by the Minnesota Vikings, tragically died in a car accident early Saturday morning. Jackson and his high school teammate, Hazel, were pronounced dead at the scene. A third passenger, Anthony Lytton Jr., was rushed to the hospital but later died as well.

Just hours before the crash, Jackson posted a 10-slide Instagram carousel, including photos of him at Vikings practice. He captioned it simply, “Mmmhmmm.”

The Vikings released a statement expressing their grief: “The news of Khyree Jackson’s death after an overnight car accident breaks our hearts… Our hearts go out to Khyree’s family, friends, teammates, coaches, and all the other people who died in this terrible accident.”

Around 3 a.m., Jackson and his friends were driving a Dodge Charger when they were hit by a speeding Infiniti. The Charger went off the road, hitting tree stumps, while the Infiniti collided with another car. No charges have been filed yet, and no one in the other vehicles was injured.

Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell shared, “Khyree’s energy spread through our building and team… His confidence and personality made him a natural fit.”
