Easy Homemade Crunch Bars You Can Make Without Baking

These homemade crunch bars are a simple, no-bake treat inspired by the familiar flavor and texture of classic chocolate candy bars. They combine the light snap of crispy rice cereal with a smooth, rich coating of melted chocolate, peanut butter, maple syrup, and coconut oil. The result is a dessert that feels indulgent without being heavy. With no oven required, this recipe is perfect for warm days, busy schedules, or anyone craving a quick homemade sweet.

The preparation couldn’t be easier. Begin by lining an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving extra paper on the sides for easy removal. Pour three cups of crispy rice cereal into a large bowl and set it aside. In a separate microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan, add the chocolate chips, peanut butter, maple syrup, and coconut oil.

Gently heat the mixture, using short microwave intervals or low stovetop heat, until everything is fully melted. Stir slowly until the mixture becomes smooth, glossy, and well combined. Take your time here to ensure a silky texture.

Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the cereal and fold gently until every piece is evenly coated. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly and pressing it down lightly to form a compact layer. Refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the bars to set.

Once firm, lift the slab out using the parchment paper and cut into bars or squares. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks, or freeze for longer storage. Each bite delivers a satisfying crunch and rich flavor—simple, homemade, and always ready when you need a sweet moment.
